Part One
Chapter IV: Whispers in the Dark
The dreams come at me quick and strong like the initial waves of some kind of maddening drug trip. The mind tries desperately to accept it all as reality – as most people will. Some would suddenly open their eyes to find themselves in an impossible situation at a peculiar time and place. No time for them to question it as the dream urges them forward. Living completely in the moment, no questions as to how they got there in the first place and no time to make sense of all the strange happenings going on around, as incredible as they are.

Tired Eyes Open At Night
Wake up
from the lunar air,
I watched all the terrible things,
That I committed on a television screen,
but that's just me,
that's just me.
My mind is not unlike these mirrors,
I blow away the fog so I can see clearer
Strands of light can kick start a fever,
Glass panel ceilings always blinding me.
Closed eyes,
take in the lunar air,
sleeping the night away was never like you,
Smile really big and let the night surround you.
Don't go without me,
But it's only me.
My eyes are old fashioned chandeliers,
Casting dim lights sent dancing around where
I'm found dripping wax on the carpet,
Damn this cold town and it's frozen reg

Down, Down, Down, Down…Pontius began to unfold the green paper that he withdrew from his pocket. It was a newly developed mannerism that struck the first moment his eyes sucked up the data Mika had left for him. Standing in the hallway after leaving Damian’s room, his eyes absorbed the words as if staring would help speed up the waiting process – which it didn’t. Simple directions were inscribed across the bottom of the page in fine ink.
“The Basement of Monsieur Curiosiity’s Mask Emporium on the night of the thirteenth day.”Pontius recalled passing by the shop downtown but nev

Day Three of Thirteen
Damian woke up with a scream that morning. He’s cries echoed throughout the house which thankfully appeared to be empty. He shook his head and reached an arm over to the side table, taking a sip of stale water from the night before. Arching his back and stretching, Damian lets out a big yawn and lazily sits at the edge of the bed. Damian rubs the sleep out of his eyes while contemplating the strange nightmare.
“What are you trying to tell me?” Damian questions himself, scratching his head. Could it be that Pontius was right? Do Vampires truly exist? Damian walks across the room and plo

Damian, The detective
Damian sat at the edge of his bed early in the morning, phone pressed against his ear listening to the rings. There was only one person he trusted with this information. As he had time to think the previous night, the more things slowly began to fit together. All the strange things that have been happening lately such as the visions and his dreams… They all seemed to be pointing towards a terrible fate.
Finally a voice answered on the other end. Dawn’s tired voice yawned, “Morning… What’s up babe?” Damian quickly revealed his story to her. First detailing the mag

Mika was momentarily shocked; however, he quickly regained his composure. Yes, it is true that he had been expecting Pontius; however, there was a certain cynical look that was alive in those green eyes than made Mika feel uneasy. He had assumed Pontius had somehow seen him sneaking around the house while waiting for Lufish, but now he wasn’t so sure. He would let Pontius do most of the talking for now…
“I noticed you have been staring at me all night,” Mika sighed, “If it is an autograph you want…” He stopped when Pontius cackled an eerie laugh. There goes that uneasines

Slowly, as people began to take notice, the audience’s confused mumbling transitioned into applause. Damian and Bran were completely baffled, both trying to dissect Mika’s trick, “There is no way in hell that he really just did thank,” Bran protested with wide eyes, “There’s no way…”

Pontius', Damian and Bran walked quickly down the side walk of the dark narrow downtown streets, making their way to the old theater which wasn’t far from their neighborhood. Damian and Bran were talking about music and new material for their band, mostly unmoved by the upcoming illusion show. Pontius, however, couldn't keep his mind off of it. To the other two, it was just another thing to do.
His stomach was filled with excitement, to the point of feeling sick. This didn’t affect Pontius; however, for he only had thoughts for Mika. The Vampire. Today he was going to become

Misty Nights
Damian was sleeping peacefully. Strange, isn’t it? Tonight, there were no nightmares. No monsters. No vampires. Just the welcoming blanket of darkness softly veiled over his eyes. Though, this particular night, things were not as serene are they seemed. A thick fog swallowed up the entire house. Footsteps echoed from outside. A man with messy, long hair squished his face against the window, watching Damian as he slept, smiling madly, eyes supernaturally large.
"This is the boy," He laughed, "This is the one, right here. Right in front of my very eyes,” He presse

Damian held up his cell phone and aimed it high in the air towards the two. Just as his finger pressed down on the button, Dawn quickly tilted her head and gave him a big wet kiss on the cheek. His eyes lit up in that moment and upon reviewing the picture, Damian declared it "Default picture worthy." Dawn smiled in agreement.

Contest Entry for Worlds Apart
Josh is my name; I had lived with my mother since birth. My father evidently died before I was even born, but I didnt mind, except when people started talking about how awesome it was to have a father. But when that happened, I just told them, Yeah, lots of good hes done for you. Over half of you are drunkards or drug addicts or something like that. Mom had always made sure I was a good son, even if it seemed boring at times.
I had mud brown hair and soft brown eyes, both traits from my mother. I had a little muscle on my arms and could run faster than most people ever would. I was much taller than my mother, but I gu
However, due to strange happenings in my personal life, I am unable to work on my writing. Something has been following me and tormenting me... I will be posting all of my findings on my new youtube channel JordanTheAdventurer. www.youtube.com/jordantheadventurer.
Here is my first video with actual footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cp4FzElYMzw The written prologue can also be found in my channel.
UPDATE: I'm feeling a lot better about everything. I'm trying not to worry too much: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giSTu4DSllY
Yes, you heard me right. The Saga of DAMIAN returns to deviantART with all new chapters, being updated on a nice little schedule of mine. All of the chapters have been edited and rewritten since last year! As of right now we are at Chapter 10 with chapters 11 - 15 being submitted at the very end of January or perhaps beginning of February and chapters 16 - 21 being submitted more towards the end of the month.
You can read the chapters here: http://death---note.deviantart.com/gallery/34629248
Once I finish the first book we will finally start to see Damian in his most recognized form: A half-vampire! The purpose of the first book is to feel
